The Paralympics kick off tonight, but one of Ireland’s top athletes is pretty chilled about the whole thing.
Michael McKillop is T37 800m Paralympic champion and double world champion/world record holder over that distance and 1500m.
Along with Jason Smyth, who JOE talked to in this interview, he was one of the two Irish athletes to bring home gold from Beijing in 2008.
As the opening ceremony kicks off tonight McKillop is fairly easily-going about the whole furore tweeting out this earlier:
