Everyone stop what you’re doing – someone lost their good jumper at the end of the Electric Ireland All-Ireland MFC quarter-final between Roscommon and Kildare at O’Connor Park yesterday.
Although the Rossies supporter was probably on a massive high following his county’s victory, the day was marred by the horrible fact that he had lost his good jumper in the post-match celebrations.
His mammy is going to kill him.
According to the Twitter account of the official supporters club of Roscommon G.A.A., the supporter in question can now rest easy though as the club secretary has it safely in their possession.
All’s well that ends well.
Who would have thought that 140 characters would resonate so much with an entire nation? As one person points out, let’s just hope that jumper and owner are reunited before Mass rolls round again next Sunday.
And the item of clothing in question? It is a pretty good jumper to be fair…
