As the career of cyclist Lance Armstrong comes falling down around him, maybe the American’s biggest mistake was the sport he chose.

Things are going from bad to worse for Lancey. He has already been stripped of his titles, he has been dropped by his sponsors like a bad habit and has resigned from his Livestrong foundation. Today he was banned for life from the sport to cap off a spectacular fall from grace.
Mark O’Connell has suggested that the biggest mistake that Armstrong made was his choice of sport, with a name like his there were more obvious selections.
We can’t imagine that he will make a ‘stab’ at it for Rio in 2016, but maybe Lance did miss the calling. Then again, if he dabbled in some performance enhancers in this sport, there might well have been some serious repercussions for the spectators.
