Given all that’s gone on over the past few weeks, Lance Armstrong could have picked a better time to post his mobile phone number publicly for the world to see.
Some of Lance’s most loyal fans still won’t hear a bad word said about the man, but he lost a hell of a lot of admirers when he gave up his fight against the USADA (United States Anti Doping Agency) over doping allegations last month.
With that in mind, it certainly wasn’t the best time to post his mobile phone number to his 3.7 million followers on Twitter, with millions more bound to get wind of it through retweets… and news stories such as this one.

Obviously Lance must have been trying to send a direct message or a direct tweet to the account of an associate, but at the time of writing it’s been ten hours and he still hasn’t deleted it so maybe he’s trying to tell us something.
In any case, he shouldn’t be surprised if he receives a slew calls and text messages – a lot of them potentially very angry – over the next couple of days.
