The news that Disney have bought Star Wars and will be making a new film has hit many fans hard. Others are just taking the piss.
As George Lucas checks his bank balance this morning and notices he is $4billion dollars better off, the rest of us are left to wonder what happens next for the Star Wars franchise.
Some are optimistic that under new management Episode 7 (and maybe 8 and 9) could be a return to form for the space-based battle of good and evil.
Others fear the Disney machine will make a total mess of it and ruin what is left of our happy memories of Episodes 4, 5 and 6.
Whatever happens, we don’t think they will try too many crossovers, though we think we would watch what has been suggested by Daily Mail writer Ian Hyland.
Makes sense to us.
