Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Two Irish students are among the injured in this morning’s fatal bus crash that took place between Barcelona and Valencia in the north-east of Spain. The injuries of the Irish duo aren’t life threatening but the Department of Foreign Affairs has released a statement along with emergency contact details for anyone that’s looking to get in touch.
“We can confirm that two Irish people received non-life threatening injuries in this morning’s bus crash in Tarragona, Spain” read the statement and here’s the details.

The bus was carrying foreign students that were enrolled at Barcelona University as part of the European Erasmus exchange programme. According to officials in the northeastern region of Catalonia, the students were from a number of different countries and were returning to Barcelona from the Las Fallas festival in Valencia.
There was 57 people on board, including the driver, and of the 43 injured, 30 have been rushed to hospital while 14 people sadly died.
