Two Irish teenagers hailed for saving the life of a young boy in Turkey

Heroes the pair of them.

A teenage boy and girl from Wexford and Dublin respectively have been hailed for saving the life of a young boy who was drowning in Turkey earlier this week.

According to the 6th Wexford Tuskar Sea Scouts, Sean Thompson of the 6th Wexford Sea Scouts dived in and pulled a young boy who was drowning out of the water to safety.

Mollie Tamara Powell of the Rush 38th scouts in Dublin, meanwhile, cleared his airway and put him in the recovery position and both were preparing to give him CPR when a nurse arrived at the scene.

The local police said that, were it for the quick-thinking actions of both Sean and Mollie that the boy was likely to have died at the scene.Fair play to Sean and Mollie; they can both be very proud.
