Father Noel Furlong wasn’t there.
Two Dublin men went exploring a cave network in north Clare at around midday on Saturday and didn’t see daylight again for over 28 hours.
Patrick Troy and his son Finn entered the cave at Pollnagollum and lost their way which meant they had to sleep overnight in pitch dark and damp conditions.
When the alarm was raised on Sunday afternoon, the Irish Cave Rescue Organisation team went searching for the two guys and they were eventually found at 5:00pm that evening.
The search was done pretty quickly considering the caves run up to 20 kilometres in length between Lisdoonvarna and Ballyvaughan. The guys were a bit cold, but safe and sound.
Hat-tip to Irish Independent.
