French media are reporting that two suspects in the slayings of 12 people in Paris on Wednesday have robbed a roadside stop in the north of the c0untry on Thursday.
The incident occurrent near Villers-Cotterets, with food and petrol both being stolen.
Earlier in the day, before a minute’s silence was observed at 11am Irish time, a policewoman was shot dead while a second person was seriously injured in Montrouge.
While it is not known if that attack can be linked to the two chief suspects – Cherif and Said Kouachi – the manager of the service station said that the two people who held up the outlet matched the description of the two brothers, and they were armed with Kalashnikov rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
According to witnesses, the pair sped off in the direction of Paris in a Renault Clio, which is the same vehicle hijacked following yesterday’s deadly attack on the offices of the satirical magazine.
