Four offenders, all under the age of 18, are due to be sentenced on February 3.

A 77-year old woman suffered a fractured skull after stones were thrown through the window of a taxi in which she was a passenger.

The woman suffered the injury in an incident that occurred in Birmingham in May, 2016; four youths appeared in Birmingham Youth Court in relation to the incident earlier this week.

According to the BBC, a 17-year was convicted of wounding having admitted in court that he was drunk and had targeted taxis with stones on the night in question; two youths aged 16 and one aged 15 were all convicted of conspiring to damage taxis.

Disturbing CCTV footage from inside the taxi showed the 77-year old passenger being struck by a stone after it came in through the window at the rear of the vehicle. The taxi driver can be heard asking after the wellbeing of both passengers and told them he would bring them to hospital immediately.
