Activist Andy Whelan, from Revolution Republic News, confronted Labour TD Joe Costello about the government’s persistence in pursuing Irish Water despite public opposition.
Costello completely blanks Whelan and ignores the question for a solid 20 seconds before the inquisitor gets taken out of the game with an almighty clang as his skull connects with the unbudging steel of a lamppost.
If it was a cartoon, he’d have woken up with a bump the size of Carrauntoohill and a halo of tweety-birds around his head.
