It looks like yesterday was a magic day to be in Limerick as the Special Olympics 2014 kicked off. A huge parade weaved its way through the Treaty City, ending in the People’s Park for the official opening ceremony.
For the next three days 1,500 athletes, plus a whole raft of coaches and volunteers, will come together for a festival of sport in Munster and the enthusiasm and joy on the faces in this video show that it is guaranteed to be a cracking weekend.
And not a sign of Pitbull anywhere…
