And it still made more sense than most of the debate.
Last night’s Leaders Debate on TV3 proved to be something of a disappointment, often descending into a shouting match and a chance to score points at the expense of others rather than getting to the nub of the important issues in the run-up to the election.
The debate was the subject of much discussion afterwards, including on TV3 (where it was broadcast), where a number of political correspondents gave their views on who they thought came out on top.
Harry McGee of The Irish Times was one of the correspondents interviewed afterwards and used an analogy to describe it that would have been pretty spot-on had he omitted the word ‘score’ from his analysis.

Not to worry Harry, you still made a lot more sense that some of the guff coming from the leaders themselves last night.
