Sure, plenty of students running for Student Union elections used the medium of video to try and secure a vote before Tommy’s Wolf of Wall Street-inspired effort last year, but that one set a bar that plenty have tried to match since.
With the help of Seamus Murray and Seán Coffey, Eric Lawless comes close to matching it.
Eric is running for Vice President for Clubs Societies and Student Engagement in Maynooth Students’ Union and he’s taken inspiration from another huge Hollywood blockbuster for his campaign video, Seth MacFarlane’s incredibly funny and wildly successful comedy, Ted.
We don’t want to spoil it for you so we’ll let you watch it for yourself above, but let’s just say the bromance is strong in this one and that it could be a difference maker when the results of the ballot are revealed.
