An eventful meeting in Virginia.
Donald Trump is no stranger to controversy but things took a sinister turn at a recent rally for the Presidential candidate at Radford University, Virginia. A photojournalist for TIME magazine named Christopher Morris was aggressively choke slammed to the floor by a member of Trump’s security detail.
“I stepped 18 inches out of the pen and he grabbed me by the neck and started choking me then he slammed me to the ground,” White House photographer Morris told reporters outside the venue.
In an official statement, the Secret Service have said that they’re “working with their law enforcement partners to determine the exact circumstances that led up to this incident” while TIME have said that they’ve “contacted the U.S. Secret Service to express concerns about the level and nature of the agent’s response” and that Morris has “expressed remorse for his part in escalating the confrontation”.
