Impressive stuff from Colombia.

Following a landslide in the Colombian north-west mountain region, this police officer and his colleague saw a dog flailing in the rushing Liboriana River in Salgar.

Risking his own life in a region in which 60 people had died, the police officer plucked the dog to safety like a boss, and the animal is now set to make a full recovery.

The landslide saw mud and water crash onto homes in the worst disaster of its kind for a decade.
