Clearly not fans of the Taoiseach.
Enda Kenny is in Waterford this afternoon as he embarks upon the the final stages of his campaign trail and the Taoiseach has had a busy morning after being forced to apologise for his recent remarks that people in his hometown of Castlebar were ‘whingers’.
Kenny gave an interview with WLR (Waterford Local Radio) this morning where he said that he was “referring specifically to a number of full-time, professional politicians in the Fianna Fáil party who’ve constantly talked down their own town, who constantly scaremonger”.
The Fine Gael leader has had an eventful afternoon also after a few water protesters gathered outside the Eishtec building.
One elderly lady was accidentally knocked over following a melee that involved a fellow protester and members of An Garda Síochána.
RTÉ journalist Pat McGrath was on hand to film the incident.
