You have to love Irish Olympians like Eamonn Coghlan because lets face it, it’s not as if we’re flooded with medal winners like some of the other countries that compete in the Olympics. That’s why we can give him a pass on this one. Even if it is one of the funniest things you’ll hear today.
Kirani James, the 19-year-old Grenadian sprinter, won the 400m final yesterday in a blistering time of 43.94 seconds and as Eamonn was watching back the replay he said: “I think he ‘shot his load’ as they say, and he blew it in the opening rounds…”
