Video: Zoo animals roam the streets of Georgian capital after massive floods

Residents of Tbilisi have been warned to stay indoors

Tigers, lions, bears and wolves have all escaped from a zoo in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi after massive floods.

A zookeeper is reportedly among eight casualties as the animals ran wild.

A hippopotamus has reportedly been shot with a tranquiliser gun in one of the city’s main squares, with helicopters circling the city in a bid to find all of the escaped creatures.
