WATCH: Bitches, cocaine and all the other stuff from the US presidential debate you might have missed

Hillary Clinton came into the first US presidential debate on the back foot following her recent health issues and email scandal, but things are looking far more positive for the Democratic nominee following the first debate against her Republican rival Donald Trump.

If you decided to stay up and watch it then you’ll have seen some truly bizarre stuff including Hilary attacking Trump where it really hurts him the most, his wallet.

Clinton said: “You know, Donald was very fortunate in his life and that’s all to his benefit. He started his business with $14 million, borrowed from his father, and he really believes that the more you help wealthy people, the better off we’ll be”. Ouch.

Trump’s rebuttal was remarkable in that he coined a new term that’s bound to be popular, braggadocious. He also promised to release his tax returns but only if Hillary releases her emails.

Even before the debate started, things got very heated between two journalists in the press scrum. Does this not just scream US politics to you?

We also love these Twitter updates that were sent by two separate law enforcement agencies.

During the early stages of the debate, the microphone picked up a lot of Donald Trump’s heavy breathing and sniffing. Here’s what the former Governor of Vermont and candidate for the Democratic nomination in the U.S. Presidential Election, 2004, Howard Dean had to say about it.

Trump also went on the offensive regarding Clinton’s email controversy stating “That was not a mistake. That was done purposely”. He also felt that it was “disgraceful” that Clinton staff, including the man who set up the Clintons’ home server, was allowed to take the “the 5th”.

In a rather odd turn of events, Trump then accused Clinton of fighting ISIS her entire life – their origins can be traced back to the al Qaeda group, which started in 2004.

In fact, Trump stumbled over the question regarding his support of the Iraq War. We  eagerly await the next debate.
