This is shocking to see…
An Irish dance teacher was left with a fractured elbow, sprained wrists and bruised ribs after she was mugged in Dublin last month.
Noreen Northrop, born in Glasgow but living in Kansas in the US, had been visiting Ireland to attend an Irish dancing competition along with some students of her dance academy.
She was filming some of her young dancers on Abbey Street when she was robbed of her phone by a man passing who was wearing a black hoodie and fell to the ground.
The incident happened on June 27, but was recently shared on Facebook by her daughter in the hope that the person responsible can be brought to justice.
Her daughter posted this video and message on social media…
“On June 27th my mum Noreen Northrop was in Dublin Ireland for the World championship of Irish dance. She was filming some of her dancers on Abbey street when this group approached them of people approached them. They seemed harmless until the man in the black hoodie stole her phone, and moments later as the video ends two others in the group assault her leaving her with a fractured elbow, sprained wrists, damaged ribs, bruises so deep you can still see them today. But more than that a fear that may never go away. For those of you that know my mum she is a sweet and strong woman and seeing this and how it has affected her breaks my heart. The names of the people that did this are still not known even though their faces are right here. If you have any idea who they are please reach out to me. Please share and help us find out who they are.”
