It’s going to be Baltic.
Met Éireann have issued a weather warning for the midland counties in Ireland, where air temperatures are set to drop to as low as -4 degrees overnight.
While midland counties will be the worst affected as far as the below freezing temperatures are concerned, the rest of the country won’t be much better off, with temperatures throughout the country set to drop to between zero and -3 degrees.
Severe frost and some fog will develop in places, while hail and heavy rain showers should remain confined to coastal fringes overnight.
The cold, frosty conditions at night time are expected to continue into the weekend, but should have eased by Sunday, when there will be an increased chance of showers throughout the country.
