Woman in her 20s dies after collision involving lorry in Waterford

A woman has died following a road crash in Waterford on Tuesday (12 July).

The two-vehicle collision, involving a car and a lorry, occurred on the N25 at Faha near Kilmacthomas at around 8.30am.

The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 20s, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has since been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital, Waterford, where a post-mortem will be conducted in due course.

Meanwhile, the driver of the lorry was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward and for any road users with video footage, including dashcam footage, to make it available to them.
