Dublin woman in her 30s arrested for spitting at Gardaí

The woman in question claimed she was awaiting the results of a coronavirus test.

A woman has been arrested and charged following an incident that took place on Tuesday 14 April.

The woman in her 30s has been charged following the public order and assault incident that occurred at approximately 6.20pm on Tuesday at St Attracta Road in Cabra, Dublin 7.

The incident occurred when a woman approached a marked car and began banging on it and shouting.

When a Garda member exited the car, the woman spat at the Garda and claimed she was awaiting test results for Coronavirus.

The woman was arrested at the scene and detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

She has since been charged in connection with this incident and will appear at Dublin District Court this morning (Wednesday 15 April).
