Alan Loughnane

It’s a cold week ahead…

Ireland looks set to make a return to wintry weather as temperatures are promised to dip with Met Eireann stating it will be very cold for the rest of the week.

Temperatures are set to drop this evening, plummeting to minus figures at night time with daytime temperatures set to reach no higher than 6 degrees.

It will be dry and clear this evening but it will turn cold and frosty during the night with temperatures set drop to between -3 and +1 degrees.

There will be frost overnight with some patches of freezing fog.

Wednesday morning will be cold and frosty with temperatures during the day remaining cool.

As we head towards the weekend, temperatures will drop progressively with daytime temperatures of between 3 and 6 degrees on Friday.

On Friday night it will be bitterly cold with severe frost and a risk of black ice developing on the roads.
