An Irish supporter in France could have just won a €39m jackpot from the Euromillions

Paul Moore

This could be some party.

Aside from Lorenzo Insigne’s shot that hit the post, there was nothing lucky about Ireland’s famous 1-0 win over Italy but we really hope that one fan receives that much clichéd luck of the Irish. There’s an estimated 70,000+ Irish supporters in France right now and a few of them might want to check their Euromillions tickets.

That’s if they actually bought a ticket and didn’t spend their money on beers, wine and grub!

The winning ticket for the most recent €39,675,953 Euromillions jackpot was sold in France and the winning numbers that were picked are 11,19,27,28,39 while the Lucky Stars are 3 and 10.

If it is indeed an Irish winner then we fully expect them to buy every single person in Lyon a pint. Now wouldn’t that be the perfect way to celebrate an Irish victory over France?
