The Serbian coach has been charged for starting the huge fight.
Earlier this week, we brought you the shocking scenes from Ireland’s Rugby League international in Serbia.
Irish winger Rob Armstrong was clean through for his hat-trick before being cleaned out by Serbian coach, Marko Janković.
The police later got involved and now the Rugby League European Federation has intervened and banned the Serb coach.
On Saturday, the Ireland vs Serbia Rugby League match was abandoned in the 61st minute. Here’s why…. reportedly one of the Serbian backroom staff ran onto the pitch and hit an Irish player which sparked the riot.

The RLEF has ruled that Janković was in “breach of law 15.1(i) (behaviour contrary to the true spirit of the game)”. There may be more to come from this, such was the size of the brawl.
Anyway, it’s back to business for the Irish team, as they gear up to face Malta on Saturday.
