Top class stuff from BOD
I’d wager that there isn’t a person in Ireland that has a single bad word to say against Brian O’Driscoll and it’s stories like this one from JOE reader Lynda Darcy that prove why.
Anyway, if there is any person that has something bad to say against BOD then you better run before the angry crowd with pitchforks discover where you live and drive you out of the country!
It seems that Lynda’s sister was one of the thousands of Irish fans that traveled to Cardiff over the weekend to watch Ireland’s World Cup opener against Canada and you’ll never guess who she was sat beside on the flight home?
What happens next is a cracking example of what a genuinely decent bloke Ireland’s record try scorer is and it should only further cement his legendary status.
Here’s what Lynda had to say in her own words;
“My sister was on a flight home from Cardiff last Saturday after cheering on Ireland to their win in the Millennium Stadium and when she was taking her seat…who was she seated beside only Brian O’Driscoll!
“She said he was a lovely lad and chatted away to her. When she plucked up the courage to ask for a pic he obliged, no problem, however when she went to take the pic her battery died! BOD being an absolute hero took the pic on his own phone and took my sisters email promising to email it on to her!”
“Today the email arrived and I thought that I would share this little story of how down to earth and how much of a legend BOD really is!”
