Much like the GAA itself, the world of GAA match reporting is a unique one and you’re likely to find nuggets in there that simply wouldn’t apply to any other sport in the world.
A match report on last Sunday’s intermediate clash between Baltinglass and Ashford in this week’s Wicklow People delivered an absolute classic line about a moment during the game when an Ashford player decided to respond to abuse he had been receiving from an opposition supporter in the crowd.
There was no need for swear words, but it sounds to us like the loudmouth fan in question was firmly put in his or her place.
