That was a tough one to take.
Ireland came up just short in their decisive test with South Africa in Port Elizabeth, going down 19-13 in the third match, with the series score at 1-1 going into the encounter.
The sides shared one try a-piece, with Luke Marshall touching down in the 16th minute to give Joe Schmidt’s side a great start, before South Africa countered, scoring their own try and performing well from the boot to capture the entire series.
Needless to say, Irish people have reacted with bitter disappointment.
A tough match. Disappointing to end this way but a tour to be proud of. #Teamofus #ShoulderToShoulder pic.twitter.com/KRkHgV7s6e

I'm not usually a man for making excuses, but some horrendous decision making from the referee cost us that game… #RSAvIRE 🏉
