We expected a good one and we haven’t been let down.
It’s been a sad day for Irish sport with Paul O’Connell announcing his retirement, and the tributes have been plentiful in supply.
The great man had his own say on the decision this morning, and we imagine he’s happy that a former teammate and old friend of his, Ronan O’Gara, had a few nice words to share.
The legendary fly-half has posted this on his Twitter account…
Something beautiful and fitting the great man retires as a 1 club man .The pride of Limerick and a role model for the rest of the country.??

Nice words indeed, but if you think you spotted something a bit off with that tweet, then you’re spot on.
Luckily, ROG rectified the error with this hilarious follow-up minutes later.
BTW Paul played for Ireland and not the Ivory Coast!!!!!??????????????

We reckon that O’Connell particularly enjoyed the latter tweet.
