We don’t think we’ve ever seen such ingenuity and pro-activity from a group of Irish supporters.
Like many of us, Irish supporters Sean Hynes, Mark Keane and Thomas Kevin Gallagher got a sudden urge to head to France after that Italy result, but unlike most of us, they went for it.
The thing is, they ran into bother when they realised that every avenue of transport was out of their price range… or so they thought.
What transpired is one of our favourtie fan stories we’ve ever heard, as the three friends, all of whom studied engineering together in UCD and two of which have a penchant for limos, came up with a glorious plan to get to France in time for Sunday’s game.
