Superman wears Paul O’Connell pyjamas.
Very few people can command the respect of every single one of their peers and fans alike but Paul O’Connell has always been something special.
Irish rugby fans, regardless of their province, adored O’Connell because his values in the green jersey represented the very best of what rugby is about.
Leadership, bravery, loyalty, skill, desire, integrity and an unshakable will to win are just some of the attributes that the Munster icon possessed and frequently showed while playing for Ireland.
Our captain may have played his last game in the green jersey but he will never be forgotten. Here’s hoping he gets himself fit and does what he does best for Toulon.

Paul O'Connell officially ruled out of the #RWC2015 after it's confirmed he suffered injuries that would've actually killed a mere mortal.

Out of all the rugby players I've interviewed – none have been as charming as Paul O'Connell – a fine ambassador for his sport #IREvARG
