Vine: Thomas Flynn barges through the Kerry defence but Kingdom through to semi-finals

The moment of the match came from the young Galway star, although Kerry marched on.

The moment of the match came from the young Galway star.

This goal from Thomas Flynn brought the moment of the match, although ultimately Galway could not keep Kerry at bay in the All-Ireland quarter-final.

The Tribesmen were 1-07 to 0-03 down – James O’Donoghue with the Kerry goal – before Flynn picked up the ball in midfield and thundered his way through the Kingdom defence.

A goal from Michael Lundy left just two points between the sides but that was as close as Galway got.

Kerry just became stronger and stronger as the match entered its final stages, rattling off 12 consecutive points from play, as Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s side emerged winners by 1-20 to 2-10.
