Wexford will face Dublin in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals after a goal blitz helped them to a 5-19 to 0-21 win over Antrim on Sunday.

The Model County blasted in a phenomenal 5-14 from open play in a scintillating display of attacking hurling.

What made the scoreline all the more devastating for Antrim was the fact that Wexford were making their first appearance in this year’s Championship, compared to the Glensmen’s fifth.

With the wind to their backs in the first half, Wexford led by 3-09 to 0-10 at the interval.

Rory Jacob’s early brace was followed by another goal for Conor McDonald as Wexford ran riot, and when McDonald bagged his second goal of the game in the second half – making it 4-14 to 0-14 – the game was well won.

Antrim did reply with three unanswered points at that stage but Liam Og McGovern’s three-pointer, as well as the sending off of Eoghan Campbell, made it a miserable afternoon for Antrim.
