What will they come up with next?

A man shows the function of ‘SpaceJustin’ a humanoid space roboter during a rehearsal for the upcoming International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) on June 4, 2010 at the Schoenefeld airport in Berlin. Tonight’s Telly

Pick of the night: Ross Kemp – Battle for the Amazon, Sky1, 10.00pm.

The hard man heads off to South America to investigate cocaine production and economic pressures facing the Amazon. The man knows how dig up the dirt.

Sporting highlight: Live International Rugby Union – Ireland v Barbarians, RTE TWO, 7.30pm.

Before Ireland hit off on a tour of New Zealand and Australia there is the small matter of hosting the Baa-Baas in Thomond Park tonight. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and it is an opportunity to cast an eye over some newcomers in the Ireland shirt including Leinster’s Fergus McFadden and Ulster’s Chris Henry. You can join JOE’s live match tracker from 7pm. Click here.

Movie pick: Inside Man, RTE ONE, 9.35pm.

One of the best bank robbery flicks you will ever come across. Twists and subplots you will not anticipate and Denzel Washington gives a good account as the negotiator who is always a few steps behind the plan.

“Make Your Own Havaianas”

Ireland is finally up with the times and we can now look forward to buying customised Havaianas (samba flip-flops) in time for the World Cup.

Time is ticking and you still have a lot to do: Adopt a nation as your very own, stock up with cheap cans and get to BT2 on Grafton Street to get your personalised Havaianas.

Mood Swingometer

Today JOE has mostly been feeling…eager to get stuck into the Bank Holiday weekend.

YES! Another one is upon us and the weather forecast is looking good. It’s Friday evening and we’re all grappling to get out of the office and don the bermuda shorts and wife-beaters.

There’s so much happening out and about this weekend also that we don’t know where to begin so I’m directing you to Something for the Weekend. Click it and check it.
