The JOE sports team is squabbling over the best 50 footballers in the world for most of the day. Thankfully, it's home time.

Live Like JOE

Stock up on men’s fragrances.

Or as us common folk call them – after shaves. A variation of bottles in your bathroom is a good sign that you look after yourself. Ralph Lauren will bring out a new range of fragrances next month and JOE has had a sample of the four new smells.

Tonight’s Telly

Pick of the night: The Wire, TG4, 10.00pm.

Haynes is dubious about a piece submitted by reporter Scott Templeton, but is forced to run the story by his senior editors. Buoyed by the withdrawal of the police investigation, Marlo orders several murders and talks with Avon in prison about contacting drug-trafficker Vondas. Bubbles takes a job at a soup kitchen and an increasingly frustrated McNulty resorts to drastic measures to divert funds to Homicide.

Sporting highlight: Golf – The Scottish Open, BBC Two, 11.20pm.

Hazel Irvine introduces highlights of the opening day’s play at Loch Lomond Golf Club, as the tournament won last year by Martin Kaymer got under way. The German followed up his success at the Open de France just a week earlier with a two-shot victory over Spain’s Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin.

Mood Swingometer

Today JOE has been feeling…opinionated.

What a day it has been in JOE Towers. The sports team are currently working on JOE’s top 50 footballers in the world and opinions on players have varied immensely. You can expect the first part of JOE’s rankings in the football section early next week.
