Pick of the night: Tiger Woods – The Rise and Fall, CH4, 10.00pm.
In November 2009, one of the world’s most iconic sportsmen hit the headlines once again, but for the first time, it was scandal rather than triumph that brought Tiger Woods, and his pants, into the spotlight. The subsequent media frenzy revealed not only his actions, but opened up much wider interest and scrutiny of the sports industry, the entertainment business and the world that Tiger lives in. Presenter and journalist Jacques Peretti drives around in his car a lot while he directs Tiger Woods: The Rise and Fall, a one-off documentary analysing the rise and fall of the flawed golfing genius.
Sporting highlight: Live World Cup 2010, RTE2 & BBC1, from 7.00pm.
France v Mexico in Group A is highlight of the evening and thankfully the football has started to improve after Argentina’s mauling of South Korea this afternoon.
Make sure to row in behind the Mexicans tonight against Les Bleus. Cheaters. Kick-off is at 7.30pm. Follow our World Cup match tracker all the way through the evening.
