The sole survivor of a boat fire off the coast of Castletownbere in west Cork is pictured on the front pages of all the main national broadsheets this morning following the tragedy.
Shortly after 5pm yesterday the blaze broke out on the Castaway cruiser while the four men were on an angling trip. The cruiser eventually sank before all men made it off the vessel and were later found by the Irish Coast Guard helicopter.
The three men who were killed in the boat tragedy were named locally as Richard Harman from Glengarriffe, and Germans Wolfgang Schmidt, who lived in Glengarriffe, and Wolfgang Schnoder, who lived in Bantry. All three men were in their 60s.
The survivor, American Ed Dziato (46), is from Connecticut but is living in Glengarriffe was last night treated at Bantry General Hospital. He is reported to be in a stable condition.

An ex-girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed the mother of his son is a British teenager.
Nereida Gallardo said in an interview on Spanish TV that she was contacted by the 19-year-old student from London, now living in the US, while she was pregnant with Ronaldo’s baby.
Nereida said on the show: “She told me she is a student from London. She is now living in the United States.
“I cannot say 100% what she told me is true, but she did contact me several months before it became public knowledge that Cristiano was a dad.â€
Neraida also claimed that it would not have surprised her if the child was conceived during a one-night stand as Ronaldo never liked to use condoms.
The report in the Star suggests that Cristiano Jnr would be entitled to play for England when he grows up due his mother’s nationality.

Manchester United made a convincing winning start to their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 thumping of Newcastle United.
Dimitar Berbatov, Darren Fletcher and Ryan Giggs provided the goals for victory and manager Sir Alex Ferguson hailed the performances of old boys Giggs and Paul Scholes.
“Scholes and Giggs are two players blessed with something special,†Ferguson said.
“I hope there is another player like them in the future.
“They are two players who can lift a game. Scholes proved again that he is just a master of his trade.
“His vision, passing range and his willingness to play is marvellous.â€
