It’s two from racing on a typically dull Monday.
The 4.00 at Ayr is an event in which stamina will be the key attribute. Morning price favourite George Adamson is a non-runner so that’s affected the price of the rest of the field.
We’ll go with top weight FORREST FLYER, who was beaten by one of today’s rivals, Balwearie, at a short price last time out. A three-pound swing could be enough to allow Jim Goldie’s charge to turn the tables.
Later in the evening, there’s a decent-looking sprint handicap at Windsor at 7.40. Richard Hannon has been in phenomenal form in recent weeks, with a strike rate of better than one in four over the past 14 days, and he saddles three fancied runners here.
However, they’ll all have to go a bit to get the better of Walter Swinburn’s ADDICTIVE DREAM, who was a ready winner of a Kempton handicap last time and could be able to defy the eight-pound rise up the weights.
JOE’s Daily Double: Forrest Flyer (Ayr, 4.00 @ 7/2) & Addictive Dream (Windsor, 7.40 @ 5/2)
