It’s two evening selections for Friday so you’ve plenty of time to get your bets on as we take aim at a 23/1 double-whammy.
In golf, it’s the second day of the weather-interrupted Byron Nelson Championship in the US.
We’re going for a three-ball pick and JUSTIN LEONARD looks attractively priced at 2/1 to come out on top of his mini-match-up with Dustin Johnson and Brian Gay.
Johnson was in excellent touch with a first round 67 yesterday – five strokes better than each of his playing partners – but Leonard hit a 63 on this course last year and has made a habit of improving on his first round showing on the PGA Tour this year.
NOT TO KNOW in Wexford’s 7.15 is the pick from Friday’s racing cards. He was a very well handicapped horse last time at Dundalk and did the business that day in a taking manner, running on resolutely despite having a troubled passage.
Off 54 today, effectively eleven pounds higher, he faces a lot stiffer assignment. However we’re prepared to take a chance that he has more in the tank.
His form off similar marks to today’s behind Monahullen Prince and Roll Over Rover last year was quite good and gives him every chance here. He travels very well in his races, the importance of which cannot be overstated at this tight circuit, he won in the style of a progressive performer last time and he’s fancied to go very close to defying the hike in the weights today.
