Tales from the Tabs
English comedian and actor Russell Brand thinks he is line for an Oscar.
Brand’s comments are published in the Daily Star and he refers to his role in his new movie Get Him to the Greek in which he plays a drug addict.
“I’d prefer to get an Oscar than play at Glastonbury, I reckon I’ve got a chance.
“I play a drug addict. I have been re-searching for the previous 10 years, so it was effortless. They should have just given me a video camera in 2005 and saved a lot of money.â€
Brand also said he was interested in presenting a show with Jonathan Ross despite the Andrew Sachs prank phone scandal on BBC in 2008.
“I’d love to do a show with Jonathan, I think he’s the best broadcaster in the country. It’s hard to talk to the BBC because there’s not a person. It’s like talking to Ronald McDonald,†Brand said.
