Being arrested for being over the alcohol limit is hardly ground-breaking news, but racer Leslie Charles Hunter was found to be allegedly over the limit while competing.

The Santana Cruz Sentinel reports that the 65 year-old was driving so wrecklessly around the Watsonville Ocean Speedway circuit last Friday night that other drivers complained to officials about Hunter.

Officer Jacob Gonzalez began the initial investigation decided to arrest Hunter for “suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level higher than 0.08 percent.”

Other drivers said that Hunter had forced them off the track, though thankfully nobody was injured as a result of the irresponsible act during the race meet.
