An Inbetweeners movie sequel is on the cards

The creators of the original Inbetweeners movie have confirmed that they are working on a sequel to the 2011 smash hit.

Last year we were treated to the hilarious summer comedy The Inbetweeners Movie, which ended up earning over £45 million in the UK alone. It’s now getting its US cinema debut next month, so that’s sure to rake in the cash too, but in even better Inbetweeners news, there’s going to be a sequel.

The sequel will feature the four main characters played by James Buckley, Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas, but no one is too sure as to what the writers have in store for the four lads.

The original film was scripted by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, who were also the creators and writers of the original E4 series, and they’re currently working on a new story for the sequel.

Speaking to The Sun, Beesley said: “I don’t want to give too much away at this stage but yes, we have been developing an idea for a sequel.

“We miss working with Simon, Joe, James and even Blake too much not to give it a go.”
