John Terry, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda all feature in a strong line-up, while Michael Essien makes a welcome return after missing a large chunk of last season with a knee injury.
Didier Drogba and new signing Yossi Benayoun will start on the bench while injured trio Petr Cech (calf), Alex (calf) and Jose Boswinga (knee) all miss out.
