American coach Bob Bradley declared his interest in the vacant Aston Villa managers job.

Bradley, whose contract with the United States expires at the end of the year, has been linked with Aston Villa since the resignation of Martin O’Neill on 9 August.

“I’d be honoured to have a conversation with Randy Lerner,” Bob Bradley told BBC’s Radio 5 live show Sportsweek.

“Following the World Cup there have been some discussions with US Soccer about what the future holds and we will continue those discussions in the next few weeks and we will see what happens.”

“Villa is a massive club, with a great history and a great following. Those opportunities would of course be of interest. It’s pretty clear that Randy Lerner has done a solid job where tradition is kept.”

Villains Chairman Randy Lerner has hinted recently that he would like current caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald to take up the position, though MacDonald hasn’t yet decided if he wants it.
