Are you enjoying this gorgeous sunny weather? Well you better soak it up, because there’s a storm on the way.

City officials have already closed up flood gates along the Dodder in the Sandymount and Ringsend areas of Dublin due to fears of high seas and possible flooding over the coming two or three days. So why is it so bloody beautiful outside?!

The view outside JOE… right now

“High tides, combined with low atmospheric pressure and high winds over the next few days, will give rise to high sea levels and possibly large waves.

“There may be very localised wave-overtopping in parts of Sandymount and Clontarf,” the council said.

Met Éireann have also said that we’re in for some heavy rain over night and all you have to do is look at their website to know they aren’t lying. Just take a look at this radar image for tomorrow morning:

We can expect much of the same up until Thursday when the rain will start to ease into persistent showers and forecasters are predicting temperatures as low as 1C for Friday. So make sure to wrap up for the rest of the week.
