Connacht coach Michael Bradley has spoken of the sense of occasion for the players and supporters ahead of their Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final with Toulon at the Sportsground on Friday night.
A sell-out attendance at the Galway venue will add to the encounter and Bradley is aware of the enormity of the tie with a French side that finished joint top of the Top 14.
“We see it as a huge game and a huge opportunity to continue our good form in Europe. A semi-final of a European Cup is a very special day for the players and supporters and we’re looking forward to it before we play Ulster.†Cheika said.
“Toulon are a formidable side but we’ve had good preparation with the Leinster and Munster matches†added the Connacht coach.
The team was announced on Thursday and inside centre, Keith Matthews, has not made it back in time from an ankle injury to start on Friday.
