Are you paying too much for your bus or rail fare? Well you’re going to be paying even more come December.
A sting of new fare increases on public transport are set to be announce by the National Transport Authority today and rises will apply to both singe and return journeys whether you pay by cash or Leap card.
Fares on Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann, Irish Rail and the Luas will see increases ranging from a 4-6 per cent hike up to 10 per cent, reports the Irish Independent. The only upside to it all is that Leap card users will enjoy significantly cheaper fares compared to people paying with cash once the increases are made.
The new fares for single and return journeys will come into effect on December 1, so you better start saving those Dublin Bus receipts now if you think you’re already paying too much to get into town.
