Camping just got cosier.
Glamping is a relatively new term that is changing how people spend their outdoor adventures.
Glamping AKA Glamorous Camping is a term for those who take a little bit of luxury on their ‘roughing-it’ holidays, but getting that little bit of luxury is all the more easier thanks to Thermo Tent.
It’s a tent that regulates the temperature of your tent ensuring you don’t end up frozen in the middle of the night or roasting in the middle of the day.
The tent business has been booming lately thanks to the festival season and Thermo Tent is the latest business to cash in on the trend taking off in business with a Kickstarter campaign and now getting involved in a Seedrs scheme funding their innovative product that is sure to revolutionise the tenting industry.
“We hadn’t sold anything before the launch of our Kickstarter programme, but then there was a surge of demand and it was a great validation that there was a market for our product,” owner of the company Derek O’Sullivan said.
“Our product is totally unique. Ours is the only thermally and acoustically insulated tent in the marketplace.
“A lot of people were buying 3 person and 6 person tents from all over the world.”
Now with the Seedrs campaign Derek hopes to raise another €100,000.
The company are looking for people to get involved in the campaign by buying shares in their business through the Seedrs scheme.
All you have to do is log in to Seedrs and create a profile. For anyone who wants some more information about Thermo Tent can contact owner of the company Derek O’Sullivan directly through email on Derek@thermotents.com.
Here are examples of glamping tents that are currently being developed in partnership with a Dutch company.
The tents will be exhibited at glamping shows in the UK and France this year as well as Europe’s largest outdoor exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
As well as looking after the super luxurious side of things the company is also making sure to watch out for those less fortunate sending tents to refugees in Nepal.
Derek said “We are in the process of sending our 6 person insulated tents to Kathmandu through Pat Falvey Adventures. Pat is putting some other supplies together as well and asked us to send 6-8 tents as part of the delivery.
“It is one thing to spend a few days in a tent, but it is another to live in one and that is what we are mindful of which is why we are sending these tents to Nepal.”
